ACC Designers created an environment within this 135 room hotel that is bold, forward thinking and innovative. The Client’s appreciation of water sports, proximity to the Olympic training center and urban location of the hotel initiated the driving inspiration for the design. Rowing and sailing stays a dominant design theme through abstract utilization of its movement and curvilinear and transparent qualities. The design style consists of a warm palette of saturated colors mixed with light and medium wood tones and richly patterned area rugs and carpets.
The dramatic two-story lobby space and adjacent bar are the first introductions to the hotel guests encounter upon arrival. A free-flowing wall sculpture resembling rippling water acts as a backdrop to the expansive reception desk. The custom chandelier with LED spheres highlights the inverted antique scull suspended from the ceiling.
Beyond the lobby lies the dining room where large windows frame views of the spacious courtyard and pool areas just outside. With clusters of intimate seating under a custom vaulted shade feature, guests are encouraged to make use of the pool side bar and enjoy the outdoor spaces year-round.
Integrated into the design are color changing LED lighting throughout the property, including the corridor soffits that lead into the contemporary styled guestrooms. State of the art energy efficient controls and convenient outlet and charging opportunities blend in subtly with the chic décor while ensuring a comfortable environment for guests to relax into contentment.
